Cranberries grow on an evergreen vine. That means they keep their leaves year-round. But, when the plants enter their dormant cycle, the leaves change from green to red! The pipe is for our irrigation system. It protects the vines from frost. |
Cranberries bloom from mid-June to July. Pilgrims thought the blossom looked like the head of a crane and called them 'crane berries.' See these blossoms develop into fruit and check out some of our summer jobs. |
