For centuries, wine lovers have recognized that fruit grown in a particular region creates a wine that expresses the soils and climate of that area. This notion of 'terroir' acknowledges that fine wine should be a distinct expression of the land that produced it. Muskoka Lakes Winery is committed to crafting wines that reflect Muskoka's unique terroir. It begins with fruit that grows in the rugged conditions and acidic soils of Muskoka. We then use traditional winemaking techniques to make premium wines that allow you to taste Muskoka!
QC - Quality Certified
Our goal is to achieve QC status for each and every wine. The QC program is the fruit wine equivilent to the Canadian VQA system. To achieve QC status, wine must meet a series of exacting standards. It is also tasted and approved by the same panel that tastes and approves VQA wines. The QC program is a promise to the consumer: wines with this designation are not flavoured grape wine or flavoured alcohol. Instead, they are a quality expression of the fruit they're made from.
