Spring

  • BLOSSOMS! - from late June to mid July
    • early settlers thought cranberries resembled the head of a crane and called them 'crane berries.'
  • Hiking is beautiful - no bugs and the leaves off the trees mean you can see forever

Summer

  • bring the family for Kids' Adventures:
    • borrow a net to go critter catching
    • solve the riddle on the Kids' Trail
    • do a scavenger hunt
    • check out our Geocache Adventures

Fall

  • HARVEST!
  • picking always starts 2 weekends before Thanksgiving
  • wagon tours run every weekend
  • one weekend before Thanksgiving, the Cranberry Café opens and the mini Farmers' Market opens (yes, the Apple Lady and the Honey Man will be here!)
  • Festival is always the weekend after Thanksgiving
  • harvest is usually finished by the end of October

Winter

  • we're open daily for last minute holiday shopping!
  • our trails are open for snowshoeing
  • snowshoe rentals are available
  • warm up your winter with a visit to the winery!

Nature Trails

  • enjoy beautiful Muskoka scenery on our trails - year round
  • hike/snowshoe/x-country ski
  • learn about cranberries on a 20 minute walk around the farm on the Old Marsh Trail
  • take an hour long hike through the woods on the Little Orville Lake Trail and read 'eco facts' about the unique features of this area

Kids' Adventures

  • Kids are welcome to borrow a net to go 'critter catching'
  • collect the first letter on each of the Kids' Trail signs to spell something that lives here
  • do a scavenger hunt

Geocaching

  • high tech treasure hunting is the latest craze
  • we have three geocaches hidden on the farm - can you find them all?
  • borrow our GPS device if you don't have your own
